You can either open Mushclient and then use the file menu to open Alter
Aeon, or you can simply select the Play Alter Aeon option inside the
MushZ program group on the start menu. You'llust have to tell it where
to look for the right file. If you use Vista that would be
c:\users\name\documents\MushZ. Name just means the name of the computer
owner. In my case it just says owner.

yeah, that's what I meant. In AA exits are any way to get out of the
current location. the 8 cardinal directions plus up and down, in and out

I think he means to just head north from the bridge and follow the
stream to the end. You should find the ring at the end, guarded by a
creature.
