Hi Jim, Correct. On Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 UAC won't allow you to write to c:\Program Files or c:\Program Files (x86) because they are protected operating system directories. The only two solutions are to either turn UAC off, which disables some of your security, or move them to a local directory such as c:\Users\Your User Name\Kitchinsinc. Either that or update the programs to save the log files to the proper places on modern Windows versions such as the user's App Data folder.
