The reason for switching to the Japanese keyboard is so that it loads the
correct character set so the text displays properly. Otherwise, the game's
output to the clipboard will become nonreadable. The shortcut for switching
keyboards is left alt+left shift. You should hear your screenreader announce
the switch.
