I don't think having the Grue around would be conducive to good
gameplay, ----- for a start, you need both your arms in a non-bitten off
state, and while you could play the game without certain other body parts,
having the Grue remove them during the course of the game might be bad for
your concentration (evil Grin!). a litle

the ships you face on wave 3 are probably my second most hated type of ship
in the game, even now that I've seen all of them. Sinse they move at almost
exactly the same speed you do, the only way of getting a sure shot at them
is standing stil. you can't cach them, and trying to hit them when your both
moving in the opposite direction requires rediculously good luck and timing
(or it does for me anyway).

Of course, if your absolutely stuck you can always just forget about the
score, let them land an do in the landers, but this can be risky if your not
quick with your side lazers.

and then, your reward for getting through them is to face the joy of the
lazer firing ships on wave five (there's even a point when they attack along
with those annoying wave 3 ships), and I will admit that I was running
seriously low on energy when I got to wave six.

Thank goodness the alien fleet doesn't use better ships to transport their
weaponry and resources.

Beware the Grue!

Dark.
