Or you could plug your iphone into your line in jack on your computer and
use the stereo mix / what you hear feature of your computer and then just
record it with whatever sound editing software you want.

capabilities, even if they are not specifically recording apps.

Get an app like Audioshare or Dropvox or the tons of others that are
out there. There are also mikes you can buy that are designed for the
iPhone.
