Hi fellow gamers, I am writing this message as a friendly reminder you really, really, really must trim your messages before you reply to them. We have a limit of 8 KB per message. I seen allot of good posts on Jedi Quake and Audio Quake out here, but they were rejected on the grounds we had message lengths of 11 KB, 12, KB, and one took the cake with a full 16 KB which was double the maximum limit of messages. As a helpful reminder you can respond to messages in one of three ways. First, you can move to the bottom of the message or comment you are replying to, and delete or remove everything after that, so your answer is answering only the previous post, and removing the other two, three, or five messages before it. It makes your posts clean as well as meet the message length rules. Second, on many professional lists the person replying to a post quote or snip only the part of the message being responded to. The question or comment is cut out, and pasted in to a new message, with their comments around it. An example might be like this sample message below.
Hi Joe, Quote How do I find the teleporter to level 9 in SOD? End Quote Joe, you do this, that, and so on and so on. There is a third way which is to respond to the question in the message after the persons question obviously deleting everything afterward, or writing your answers in line as in this sample message. Original Message from Joe Smo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi all, How do I find the teleporter in SOD to take me to area 9? Joe, you do this, that, and so on and so on. Now, I think all of you have found the three possibilities of trimming messages. In the future please try one of these three ways of cutting down message size. This list has no particular guidelines regarding format, spelling, grammar, etc but we do have rules about message size. _______________________________________________ Gamers mailing list ..
