My own findings: Visually impaired chess players have been searching for an affordable chess clock that we can use with no sighted assistance ever since the very nice manual tactual chess clocks that we used to buy from the RNIB and other sources went out of production. There is now a digital chess clock that has been modified to accept a box of electronics which then feeds audio output to a headset jack, but you're going to pay over $300 for it. To me, this is unreasonably expensive. This iDevice app costs $0.99, and does what the description I pasted above claims! It is totally Voice-Over friendly.
