Hi Bryan: Well, regarding netspeak I think a lot of that has to do with more and more people are using phones for communicating and since phones don't have full sized keyboards for e-mailing or texting it is easier to use the number 2 rather than use to or too. Various other common netspeak shortcuts are appearing more and more in e-mail and I suspect phones would be the leading reason.
