Make sure you have your sccreenreader unloaded when you pley. IT could be intercepting the keyboard.

Whatever arrow key I try using does nothing. I figure that if I turn toward the opponent in the first level, the sound should move into the center of the sound field. Regardless of when I use right or left arrow, nothing seems to change. Using the up-arrow gives the sound of attacking and the down-arrow gives the sound of a parry, I think. But I always get killed during what should be an easily beaten level.
