I agree. I've found myself quite frequently over the past few years not
playing as many action games as I used to. I did wonder if this was me
getting old, sinse I've passed the big 30, however when I play a game like
Tbs I realize why, it's actually just that not many action games tickle my
fancy quite as much these days, but blind swordsman has been one precisely
for the very invervative mechanics. Indeed it is a great example of some of
what I've been trying to say about mechanics and judgement for a while but
obviously shows better than I could explain, particularly in a game that so
easily could be just another space invaders/boppit clone.
Beware the grue!

I have to say that I'm extremely impressed by the simplicity of the
interface and the complexity of the timing. Wonderful design. And it's got
me deliciously stumped. That hasn't happened to me for quite some time. I
haven't passed level 3 yet. I don't think timing is my forte, but that
