If you go to the site and listen to the description of the game, it says
that, sometimes, the audio navigator is either fast or slow when telling you
when to turn. I'm thinking that this is part of the challenge, in that you
have to memorize the track layout and anticipate turns.
I found the same issues that you did with the audio instructions in the
game.
This is a fun little demo for the PC.

Subject: [Audyssey] Audiospeed Demo Version Now Available
Hi,
Just in case you're not aware of it, I discovered last night that there's
a demo version of Audiospeed from www.audiogame.it in the Podcasts and
Demos section. You have to enter your email address, after which you'll
receive download links for the PC and Mac versions, and a code you have to
enter when it starts for the first time.
From what I can gather, you can only play in single race mode (the
tournament option isn't available), and there's a section of the included
guide that appears to be unavailable. I say this because pressing Tab will
cycle between "Highlights", which has a synopsis about the game and
sounds, "Controls", and then an option without any audio. Pressing Enter
on this makes the noise you hear when an option is selected, but that's
all.
I gave the game a try on my XP machine, and it's not bad, but I've got to
get used to all the audio cues. For instance, the computer told me to turn
right at one point, which I did, but apparently too soon as it started
giving a count-down. As an example, "turn right in 3, 2, 1, go!) When I
turned at the wrong time, I obviously crashed. There have been times as
well where I press the right arrow key to turn right when I hear "Go!" and
I still end up crashing. I haven't been able to complete a race fully yet,
but I consider all this just part of the challenge.
Thanks.
Yours Sincerely,
Kelly John Sapergia
