Hi David.
to be honest that is more the fault of the mmorpgs than the reporting. any
new games people find are always reported on audeasy, audiogames.net or
added to the games to play online page over at whitestick, indeed I try to
report any that come up to Tom lorimer sinse that is quite a good list.
Many mmorpgs including the accessible ones like core exiles or Kingdom of
Loathing are still going strong, it is more the case that with more
competition from other platforms and the recession people are going
elsewhere, particularly if games aren't being maintained and updated. Indeed
one of the worst things I've noticed about many great mmorpgs like muelsfel
or monster breeder is they start with an awsome idea, which gets updated
for a few years and then tale off.
I've also noticed that canvasing technology means a lot of modern mmorpgs
are going far more graphical and inaccessible than used to be the case, plus
of course, there are far too many games that just don't work with the text
medium to create interesting combats or descriptions of places and boil down
to a "hit attack button" or "minimax lots of timers" which is just plane bad
design.
Beware the grue!
Dark.

Subject: [Audyssey] way to get updates about text mmorpgs
Hi
Is there a place where I can get notified if a new accessible text
online mmorpg comes out so I'm not al4ays late to playgames with
barely anyone on it reminiscing about the "glory days" when thousands
of people were online? Thanks
