Hi Ishan, Not sure what you mean by saving your party members. You need to explain your question with a little more detail, because your question is confusing.
As far as healing potions etc you can pick them up at random throughout the levels, and occasionally you can buy them in Twilight Town. Of course, there are other ways to heal besides potions like healing scrolls, and if you have a healer in your party he or she can heal you. As for your old characters becoming your enemies that's just the way Jason wrote the game. I have no idea why it does that, but it does select a random character, usually one who has died, and brings them back as a zombie or something. You'll know you completed a quest because after you complete the quest you'll get some sort of reward. And the quest will vanish from your list of quests.
