Hi Paul.
I admit I wasn't planning to play Nightmare myself until I'd finished the
game on normal, but as you said, sinse I had to restart I thought I might
as well get something a little different while I did.
Nightmare in episode 1 wasn't too bad, but in episode 2 it's tougher,
especially for some of the monthly event monsters (the terorist efrete was a
total pain and took nearly 80 turns for me to defeat).
Talking on Chat, apparently episode 1 isn't that much harder because the
difficulty multiplyer for nightmare is a scaling multiplyer, and your not
dealing with quite as big numbers on episode 1. For example, I believe on
nightmare monsters are higher level by a third of their total level, which
obviously makes much more difference with higher level monsters, sinse after
all a level 6 monster being level 9 or even a level 20 monster being level
27 won't matter half as much as say a level 45 monster being level 60!
So, feel free to give nightmare a try, if your puppets made it through
episode 1 on normal it should be fine, however you might want to think again
at later levels, heck, once I've finished Episode 2 and 3, I will go back
to normal for episode 4, which was proving tough even on normal before I
went back to episode 1.
