Hi David.
I am waiting for the update to the navigation view then I'll reccord one of
my infamous podcasts about the game which should help, however at the moment
I find I always get a bit lost trying to work out which planet belongs to
which faction, still that's on the additions list and should turn up in the
next update according to the developers.
If I remember rightly, looting a ship is the same process as picking up any
commodity, you just hit the back button when you've been through all the
different items and transfered what you want to your ship's hold.
