Hi.

I don't know how many people have been following audiogames.net, but Peter
Mahach (sorry if I'm completely miss spelling his name), has developed a very
good modern remake of Phil Vlasac's dos audio breakout.

You can download it here:
http://pmsworld.tdrealms.com/games/breakout.7z

and find the topic describing the game here:
http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=201439#p201439

Note that you need the latest version of 7zip from www.7zip.org to extract the
archive.

Like Phil's original game, Peter's breakout works with you hearing a moving
curser moving left to right across the row of blocks, and firing directly to
destroy them, with points gained on your accuracy. As a game this is fun, a
reaction test but a rather nice one with good sounds and absolutely crazy speed
at higher levels, however my personal issue is that this doesn't feel like
breakout, sinse in the original breakout you tracked the movement of a ball
around an enclosed arena bouncing it off the sides pong style to destroy the
blocks at the top.

Still, a good game none the less.

All the best,

Dark.
There is always more to know, more to see, more to learn. The world is vast and
wondrous strange and there are more things benieth the stars than even the
archmaesters of the citadel can dream.
