We play a version called runeQuest, which is probably a bit more like ADND
as such, and I haven't done any game-master sessions as of yet, but, I have
multiple characters, for different campaigns.
Effectively, while my sighted friends sit around writing on their character
sheets with pens/pencils, and roll physical dice, I have my laptop there
with my text file character sheet on it, and roll dice using software, and I
suppose my GM friends do take the effort to describe things like maps, etc.
to me a bit more, and while they may arrange little models to give them a
sort of picture of encounters/melee scenario's, at times, they generally
just describe things to me, and answer any questions I may have, etc. etc.
We also focus very much on character development, personality and
interaction, and we might have pet animals that count as forms of non-player
characters at times, collect items that might affect other parts of the
stories, and follow relatively well defined campaigns that follow whole
stories, requiring deduction, investigation, exploration, planning, etc.
etc.
As in, we try to handle it as actual role-playing...<smile>
