I really need to get back to astro galaxy, sinse I worked through the
tutorial but then tried several things that didn't work for some reason, I
don't know why, it's one of these games I should really sit down and play
with seriously sinse for someone who likes exploring, well there's certianly
plenty of that.

I have been for a few months now and rather like it. you can find it at

It's a fully persistent game. Quite active. It has an open ended research
tree, you can own multiple ships and stations, mine planets all sorts of
things. give it a look.
