Hi Tom.

That is quite possible. Sinse small screens and low vision access do not mix, other than some specific sound based games like bopit and say what (both of which were presents from my mum), I've never really done much in terms of hand held games, so it is entirely possible they're around and I've missed them.

All the best,

Dark.

Hi Dark,

Interesting. The handheld fishing games I mentioned are plentiful here
in the States. Usually they can be found in any toy store like Toys R
Us or over in the games section of Walmart etc.
So I'm a bit surprised they'd be unavailable in the UK. My guess is
they are but you haven't looked for them so missed them. :D

Cheers!

Hi tom.

I haven't come across those hand held games. The sega one I was thinking of was one of their arcade cabinets from I believe the late nineties that I

used to watch my brother play. It was such a fast action game and had such a

weerd hard rock soundtrack and ethos it was the last thing you'd think of
for a fishing game, I particularly liked the way it yelled "mega!" if you
landed a particularly large fish as though it were the sports caster from
hell, then again the speed of the game was sort of mad, hardly the calm
lazy, rat of the riverbank type of fishing you'd expect :D.

Beware the grue!

Hi Dark,

Yeah, that was a pretty cool fishing game. I nearly forgot about that
one. However, besides that one I have played a few of those handheld
fishing games that look like fishing rods with a little screen on
them. If it weren't for the accessibility issues those can be pretty
fun.

Cheers!

Hi Nicol.

That would be fun, I remember the old saiga rod fishing game from the
nineties where you had a real as the control. The amusing bit is it
involved really fast action as you targeted the fish and realed in
quickly,

along with a hard rock soundtrack, it was sort of extreeeeeme!
fishing!
:D.

Beware the grue!

Dark.

Hi Dark
Thanks for your informative response.
I'm actually more into arcade fishing games like the fishing level in
bsc
hunter.
Hopefully someone will create a fishing game for I OS some day.

Several muds have fishing as part of their setup, alteraeon has it as a
sort
o amusing sideline, though clok makes it a major thing sinse you can
actually catch, clean, filet and cook the fish on a camp fire (even add
in
some herbs to make them have a good flavour).

Then again clok has the most fantastic wilderness and survival system
I've
seen.

other than that though, I'll admit fishing isn't something I've seen.

All the best,

Dark.
