Hi Marvin, Obviously, I am not new to game development as I certainly have developed a few games in my time, but to be honest programming games with HTML5 is not my forte. I have heard of people doing it by paring HTML5 with something like JavaScript , and my friend Google shows there are a number of free resources and guides on this topic. I'd highly suggest you do a bit of searching using Google yourself and see if any of those free tutorials and guides answers your question as I don't think anyone on this list will be immediately able to help you with your questions.
You also might want to look into the Quintus Engin which is an HTML5/JavaScript game engine which supposedly has the basics of this stuff worked out. That would be a good place to begin since you are a newby and need to learn how to get a basic game like space Invaders going. An engine like Quintus might just be what you are looking for. Cheers!
