I do vaguely remember talk of a game, and a quick googlement turned up first
with the starship traders wikipedia article, then with this:
http://starshiptraders.com/
which indicates that the game has changed it's name to last resort, but is
still going and can be played either with telnet or directly with a browser.
I've not tried it yet, indeed I only vaguely recall references to it, but it
sounds interesting nonetheless, assuming this is the game you mean.

hi all,
does anybody remember the old browser game starship traders?
i'm talking about around 10 years ago or so.
well sadly the game was taken down for reasons which i don't really know.
lack of players or some such thing perhaps.
anyway i was just wondering if anybody here knows of any starship traders
game servers around or if the game was ever made gpl and as such someone
has the source-code and could put a game of it up?
it was fully accessible in the day and i thought it was a really cool
game.
