What with the expo of yet another form of VR headset by sony at a recent expo, the morpheus VR helmet - as I understand it, it provides full 3D gaming environments for guys, letting them both 'see' and hear the virtual world around them, for gaming, etc.
Now, this just brought to mind that, with the right form of 3D sound setup, etc., we've already got a full virtual world available to us - from the blind perspective of some of us..? <smile> Would really just need the right form of 3D surround sound setup/configuration, or fully portable/wireless headset, along with forms of gaming controls that didn't limit movement, etc.?
