Yep, you'll have to buy the software. The whole idea is to advertise different companies. You need to activate the product on the giveaway day only. Of course, this is their policy. Let's say a developer puts up a game on there, it is really up to the dev if they want to give you another key. Giveaway team will only give users one license on that day though, unless stated otherwise by the developer, then continue advertising the site for a while.
