I've got to give my first opinion on what was written, and by "first", I mean what I immediately think when reading it based on what I know from this list and through off list communications:

This was clearly written by some who did not know Thomas at all. It does not do him one bit of justice. It sounds like a form that was filled in by some business oriented person, just doing their day to day job, filling out paperwork on someone who they do not know, nor care about. It's a real shame that a friend or family member did not write something more deserving and appropriate.

 Thomas Ward, age 38, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Monday, February
8th, 2016 at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, Ohio following a brief

Thomas was born January 15th, 1978 in Wooster, Ohio and was the son of

the area over the past years. He played guitar and enjoyed writing
computer programs
and games. He loves going to Boyd & Wurthmann in Berlin for their
Thursday's special. It was his favorite place to eat "real food."
He is survived by his son, Sean Ward of Millersburg, Ohio, father and
step mother, Allen (Beverly) Ward of Coshocton, Ohio, mother and step
father, Pamala
Jill (Leon) Ellson of Medford, Oregon, step sisters; Lisa Shank of
Mansfield, Ohio, and Melissa Ellson and Kaitlyn Semore both of Portland,
Oregon, step
brother, Dustin White of Palm Beach, Florida, aunts and uncles; Mike
Conrad of Indiana, Brian Ward of Akron, Ohio, Pamela Durell of Dalton,
Ohio, Bob Gunn
of Florida and Debra Rouke of Dalton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Willard and Alyce
Ward, maternal grandparents, Bill and Anna Mae Gunn, and a step sister,
Vandi
Anderson.
