While there are NVDA add-ons meant to help with IF games, etc., I have
also in past used a version of winFrotz that offers it's own TTS
reading/output - the version have here at moment is 1.16.
However, I have NVDA add-ons both for general IF, and windows frotz
itself installed, and with a quick test now, NVDA was quite happy to
both automatically read output, and could also just use navigator
keystrokes to also read the text in the output window.
Now, will also say that am not 100% sure which of these add-ons does all
the work, or if it's a combination, but, you can get both the
interactive fiction interpreter add-on, and the windows frotz add-on
from the following add-on listing page:
