Hello, Additionally, the only real way to play the game is to join an alliance, so, if you don't like the way the game forces you to be part of an alliance, this may not be for you either.
I have played the game for around 4 years now, and it has been improving all the time. The only two downsides I say the game has is, as I said above, you are pretty much required to join an alliance, otherwise you will be an easy target for the large alliances to take your castles. The second is that there is no Non PVP option. As soon as you are out of new player protection, which is 14 days after you start on the game, you are free for any other player to target your castles. The main goals of the game are to take your initial castle, build up the buildings and troops in that castle, then start taking other castles. You can take what are called Free Castles (castles not owned by another player, or player castles (those that other players are building up.) Once you have several castles you can then upgrade five of those (they have to be close to each other on the map) into a Fortress. Then, once you have 5 fortresses close together, you can upgrade those to a mighty City. You do all of this while defending against other player attacks, participating in wars with other alliances, and continuing to build up what castles you have captured.
