Did you save the game after getting the armor? That might be the problem right there. The game automatically saves your Proving Grounds scores but it might not necessarily save any items you get unless you yourself save the game. As for the GM not responding, he has a very tough spam filter and some there are occasions, rather frequent I've noticed, where the messages don't even get into his Inbox. He's also an extremely busy guy, seeing as how he's the only one working on Sryth. Don't get discouraged though. When he does get messages and has time to respond he's usually very helpful.
