Hi Liam,
The one nice thing about using sapi for games is that you can get input from
the player. You know like their name etc and the game can then say it. And of
course with recorded speech that and things like the golf courses and trivia
files that people have created would not be possible. Well I guess if your
game wrote directly to any and or all of the screen readers it would still be
possible, but with sapi you don't even need a screen reader. Plus I don't like
that when writing directly to the screen reader you do not have the same amount
of control as you do with sapi. And then you know how I have always been
concerned about how much web space and down load time and sapi sure cuts down
on that. I also would not even think about recording the thirteen thousand or
so words that are in my hangman game. The same goes for many of my other games
as well.
