Hi Nicol, Actually, in the first release of SOD, version 1.0, you could destroy the td with proximity mines and timed and blast mines. However, when 1.2 was released td's were basically indestructable. Seeing as a temperal disterbence is not a monster but a disruption in the time space continuum it makes sense that a mine wouldn't destroy it. In fact a mine might make the problem worse in reality. Another cool change is level 9. In 1.0 all you had to face was the boss. In 1.2 you get to face the worst of the worst before taking him on. Seeing as you have all that kick butt ammo from area 8 it makes a really fun battle.
