Hi Samuel, That is a common error which has been well documented with solutions on our faq page http://www.usagames.us/faq.html In short what it says is either your DirectX 9.0 release is out of date or DirectX and the .NET Framework were installed improperly in the wrong order. The correct installation is 1. Install .NET Framework 2.0. 2. Install the December 2006 or February 2007 DirectX upgrade using dxwebsetup.exe. 3. Install STFC.
It must be installed in that order or the game will result with that error. That solution was only found after several days of testing after the release was posted last December so none of this is in the packaged documentation.
