Hi Niko, Yeah, I do believe in training modes for some games, but as for knowing what things sound like before hand might be determined by the story line in question. Let's assume a gamer is playing a Star Wars game for the very first time, and he or she had never heard a Sith light saber. Well, a Jedi character certainly would know the sound of the saber even if the player did not. In that case some sound id should be allowed for to let the player assuming that roll to know what the sound should be in order to better act out that character. Another Star Wars example assuming we are playing a Jedi who was involved in action during the Clone Wars would instinctively know the sounds of several type of droids they faught during the war. Where as the gamer assuming that roll would not. Thus some sound training is in order. However, in a game like a Toomb Raider game where the design is on total exploration and treasure Hunting there might be a desire for mystery about some sounds in the game. In the final summary if a developer puts in a sound id menu it is there to use or not to use based on personal preference wouldn't you say?

It's more realistic then a readme.
