Hiya,
The game is quite different from the average arcade or RPG style. One
thing I've noticed is that you can actually complete the first chapter
without moving from your starting square. The gold mine will turn into a
meadow when it becomes exhausted. You can use it to build your barracks or
farm or whatever. Just follow the objectives and remember the backspace key
and you should be fine.
