If you're referring to the room immediately after climbing down the second vine,, the key you want is actually in a room right before you climb down there. Grab the vine as usual when you get there, but jump right instead of climbing down. Run right and you'll hear one of your torches light up. Be careful though since there's a spider in here. It ain't pretty when the pretty leaves you with no place to go. J.D.
