hi ron, here's an old posting that should give u the answer. Hi all. This applies to all games using directx 9c latest version, maybe earlier and the dotnet framework 2.0 and 1.1. Today microsoft released new security updates to dotnet 1.1 sp1 and dotnet 2.0sp2. After installing these updates you will need to reinstall the directx9 june install package in order for dx to take advantage of the new updates. If you do not you will get errors. And railracer will not run. On a side note if you use vista or xp and have a processer problem or your system is causing greef there is a processer support update to fix a windows crash with data transfer. I know for those that read the tech blog I am on that I would usually post to this first but in the interest in keeping traffic down on the list I thought I'd post this before any major issues come out.
