Hi Josh, most definately. Your phaser power comes directly off your warp core same as the main deflector. If you decide to use the deflector, emergency situation I hope, you will lose phaser and warp power for a few moves. Your shields will also have a slower time recharging which all adds up to putting your ship in trouble. As you might recall the only time Enterprise attempted that maneuver it really crippled the Enterprise in the process. Fortunately, Geordi isn't your average engineer, and he got things back together just in time for the final show down with the Borg in sector 0-0-1.
