A sighted lady friend of mine asked me what games she and I can play together? As I don't know braille and probably will never learn..it seems doubtful I can go and buy some sort of game that we both can use. I had considered teaching her backgammon. I can take the pieces I would use and replace them with either dimes or pennies. This way I would know what pieces were mine and which were hers on the board. I have dice with deep grooved dots in them so I can read the dice when i roll them. So this will do for a first sighted versus blind player type game.
But I would like to know what other options I have to either make or buy? I know I have alot of computer games I could get her into from the Jim Kitchen line of games. But we are looking for something we can easily take with us when we travel. Thanks in advance for any tips/ideas given.
