Hi Tyler, Freeways tend to be state roads like State Rout 30, State Route 83, etc. Interstates is the United States version of the Autobond. They are four line highways that run across the entire United States from end to end. In fact, General Eisenhower personally comitioned the Interstate project after seeing the Autobond when he led US forces into Natzi Germany in 1944. When he became president in the 1950's he imagined the idea of taking the Autobond, and making several of them all over the United States. A few years later it happened.
