Hi Alex,
I'm sorry I was a bit short with you, but cheatomatic is definately on
the top of most game developers hateware. I know a few developers who
would probably like to throttle the little creep who created it. Myself
included.
I've been working the last month on looking into ways to safe guard my
data not only to keep cheaters from changing status such as score,
health, lives, etc but to investigate ways that the demo can not be
unlocked by that program. Which it has been known to do in a few
accessible games, and needless the dev that happened to is very very
upset with the cheatomatic developer.
I'm fortunate enough to have heard through the grape vine how this
little program operates, and thus can work on solutions to check those
memory addresses to see if anyone is tampering with them. The problem is
for us developers that it is difficult and processor intensive to block
this kind of attack.
