Actually that is not true. Many of my games do not allow one to change the
sound files. Like you found out with my Mach 1 game.

Not to mention the fact as far as I am aware the end user can drop just
about any wav file in the Kitchensinc folder they want, name it to the
sound they want to change, and change it.
I've done that a number of times with games I didn't like the sounds for.
