All you do is go into Goldwave--some say Sound recorder does it too, load your wave file, and save it again as a wave file, but in the attributes list you can change the parameters. You'll see things like PCm 16 bit stereo and the like, but if you type mp it will take you to MP3 attributes. Unfortunately, it's not quite as simple as renaming an MP3 file as a wave file, but this process is pretty fast and works well. You may have to use odd sampling rates, like 48000 instead of 44100, but there's still a lot of compression that takes place. Try it and see if it works. If you need any more help, just write.
