For those that have been wondering I've been busy on several fronts here trying to do a course from hadley and also in trying to figure out how to improve my flying with the fs2002 program. I can now report that with the rather indirect help of the president of a virtual airline, that the flight tracking ssoftware fs-acars is um 75 percent accessible for us to use as far as the information layout is concerned. I'm required to take a check ride in the boeing 737-400 and show that I can handle the aircraft in structured flight betwene St Louis Lambert international airport and Chicago O'Hare airport. While I'm not fully ready to do the check ride quite yet, I think that after I do a few more practice runs, this time accounting for real weather conditions, I'll probably atempt to do it sometime this weekend. There are those who have been asking about the air traffic control menu in fs2002. I really can't talk you through the procedure with a 100 percent accuracy rating as the menu changes depending on the situation your dealing with. The best answer I can give you is and I know this sounds like a cop out, butt, trial and error with the given situation. If its any consolation, it would appear that the air traffic control system isn't widely used by Maricio and the others, I've voluntered to send a sound bite of me working the air traffic control system in fs2002 for them. Also, I'll probably do several things at once. My check ride might vary well be the podcast flight I use to demonstrate flight sim. Though I'm not sure if I'm that brave yet. Take care all. I'm off to get some sleep. Scott
