This is quite a tricky subject to bring up, but I would please like advice on
the following. I want to register for a football game, and, I have also seen
this request in form fields of games that, until now, I haven't joined. They
want your actual address, and the fields are marked compulsory. They do say
that incomplete register info could cause your account to be deleted. I,
however, don't really want to give my full address out, and I don't see why I
should, as I'm not buying anything and I don't want anything sent to me. This
also seems like a really bad practise, because if you think of quite young kids
who'd like to play games and then giving their address over the internet like
that, there are serious problems that could develop which may involve parents
in the long run, example say now someone could somehow hack into the system, or
a loony player could somehow fall out with the kid and start sending hatemail
or something? Sorry, just an uncomfortable issue I thought of raising because
I'll probably just give some false address or something, but we as online
gamers and people who do fill in quite a lot of forms must really be aware and
careful of such things.
