Hi Shaun, You are thinking a little to complicated. <Smile> I only have a $10 optical PS2 mouse made by HP. I personally would not buy those $30 Genius mice because they come pre packaged with software, drivers, etc which is total over kill. So my mouse is pretty generic all things considered.
PS My copy of RR is registered to my Windows XP desktop. I don't do allot of gaming on Vista yet though I have some on my laptop for take along fun. shaun everiss wrote: > <grin> > depends what you are use to and if you can handle the mouse. > I myself actually had to purchace a mouse for the purpose of playing > railracer. > The mouse I have is a 30 buck genius mouse. > It fits the shape of my hand and maybe you will want to get one that will do > that to. > The second part is trial and error. > Once you have your mouse drivers loaded, if you have something like startup > manager try to disable the extra features apps that come with the mouse. > if the mouse works with them off then you are best to leave all the extras > off because they are not needed. > And unless you need buttons a plenty use a 3 button mouse with a scrole wheel > or maybe normal buttons. > I have my travel mouse running with a driver from the microsoft site meaning > I don't have to use the genius multimedia feature driver. > granted this means I only have a standard mouse but thats what you want. > If the mouse drivers do not work with the extra feature things removed then > you may have an issue. > the thing is you don't want to accidently change something as i never was > able to get much accessibility out of the driver configuration thing. > --- Gamers mailing list __ [email protected] If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can make changes or update your subscription via the web, at http://audyssey.org/mailman/listinfo/gamers_audyssey.org.
