Hi Ac. It's not the mirk men you need to worry about. there are six statues in total that you have to find.
One of them is in a fixed location (basically keep going north from the start), the others however are wandering at random around the Mirk, and you just have to hunt around until you come across them, it might take a while, but you'll get some Xp from squashing any mirkmen (when I played the mirk they were called mudmen), you come across, as well as from each of the statues you defeat.
