The man every boy wanted to be in the 1970s, star-spangled stunt man
Evel Knievel, has died. He was 69.
Knievels death was confirmed by his granddaughter, Krysten Knievel. He
had been in failing health for years. He suffered from diabetes and
idiopathic pulmonary
fibrosis, an incurable condition that scarred his lungs, as well as the
hepatitis C he likely contracted through a blood transfusion after one of
his bone-shattering
spills.
