I'm afraid I'm a fairly major Hal user, so can't give any advice about Jaws. 
In Hal, I did find using the virtual focus helpful, ----- I believe Jaws as 
a similar thing called the Jaws curser, but I'm not precisely sure on how it 
works.

Perhaps someone more familiar with Jaws could answer this one.
