Hmmmm, not a problem I had I'm afraid. Stuttering sounds like there is something else going on at the same time on your Pc, did you turn off your screen reader? I believe with Jaws you have to unload it before you start playing, or you get effects like that.
Other than that I suggest you send an E-mail to X-cite interactive about the problem. I know they're working on a new version of the game, so if it's some sort of bug, maybe they can fix it then.
