Hi all,
First of all this question isn't entirely off topic. It actually has to do
with some of the voices Phil used in the Sarah game. I seem to remember him
saying a while back that he used some of the Loquendo voices for some of the
statues and suits of armor found throughout the castle. I was wondering, Phil,
where you got them and how much they tend to cost? I've looked on the Loquendo
web site and they don't seem to have any information about pricing. I'm curious
because not only would they make great screen reader voices, but if I start
developing my own games I might very well choose to use some of the Loquendo
voices myself. They seem by far to be the most versatile synthetic voices out
there seeing as you can actually make them express different emotions. I've
never heard a synthe laugh so convincingly {smile}. But to avoid cluttering up
the list with what some wil doubtless consider off topic traffic, write me off
list if you can, anybody. I'd appreciate any insight into this matter.
Time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so.
