Hi Bryan,
The horrible truth is that most software is cracked and pirated before 
the software is ever released to the public. Crackers usually break into 
companies development systems, stell the source code, modify the 
security system or write a key generator based on code in the product, 
and then release the cracked version on major distribution sites all 
over the world.
Either that or seriously interested crackers disassemble the product, 
create a crack, and reassemble the product with the back door installed.
