NO I was not playing around with the speaker placement function when I was in the second years room. I opened the door to the second years room, I entered the room, I heard the snitch, I wanted to stun it as the noise was too loud and when I stun it the game restarted. You cannot remove the speaker placement function, how will people know if their speakers or headphones are incorrect?
